CLUE Canadian National InstallFest 1998
During the InstallFest, scheduled for Saturday, September 26, the participating
Linux User Groups throughout Canada will be holding simultaneous InstallFest
events at selected public locations (Universities, Libraries, Bookstores, and
Shopping Malls).
X11R6.4 Licensing
This spring, The Open Group released X11R6.4 under a restrictive license radically
different from the previous X Window System licenses. As a result many organizations including XFree86
continued to use X11R6.3. Today, The Open Group reversed its direction and made X11R6.4 available
under a much more favorable license similar to the old X Window System license. [18 Sep 1998]
